Hi, I'm Michelle…
I’m a Sr. Product Designer and jack of many trades.
I get a kick out of turning a blank slate and a complex list of requirements into something that my engineers can ship and my users will love. Starting from zero and working with large scope or major ambiguity is my speciality — I make sense of user needs with flows, content, interactions, mockups, and prototypes.
My journey
I started out at Unilever working on product innovations in consumer packaged goods. Nine years ago, I realized I had a passion for digital, and moved to Amazon where I designed, built and tested online stores and user journeys for Home & Kitchen, Fashion, and Prime Video. I then spent several years in the B2B space working at Honeywell on warehouse software, followed by the reservation management and chat platforms for Expedia and Vrbo property managers.
I’ve worn many hats including UX designer, content strategist, and UX program manager. But over the years, my favorite projects and proudest achievements have been when I’ve launched a brand new product to the market - identifying user problems, proposing solutions, and iterating upon my designs.
These days, you’ll find me at onX Maps, a midsize Series B company that builds mapping tools for outdoor adventurers. Check out the work in my portfolio to see more.
Hobbies & interests
Outside of work and on the weekends, you can find me doing partner acrobatics (Acro Yoga), exploring the Pacific Northwest, traveling the world, and seeking out any activity in the sunshine or on the water.
Also pictured: a love of other people’s dogs and my own dessert.
